Call for Participation:
Operation Cherry Pie Spring is just around the corner, and we invite
you to join us for a spring tradition that our customers look forward to every
year, Operation Cherry Pie. You’ll meet customers face-to-face as we
deliver cherry pies to their offices in celebration of the National Cherry Blossom
Festival and the arrival of spring. From April 6-8, Destination DC and its
partners will deliver 1,100 pies in the Washington, DC metro area, and an additional

MPI’s MeetDifferent MeetDifferent, Meeting Professionals
International’s Educational Conference, was held in Atlanta Feb. 7-10.
Elliott Ferguson, Justin Page, and Laura Gardner attended the show on behalf of
Destination DC, accompanied by members CSI, L’Enfant Plaza hotel, The Salamander
Resort, and Kimpton Hotel’s DC properties, who exhibited in the Destination
DC booth during the tradeshow portion of the conference.
RSAA Summit Destination DC’s Letizia
Sirtori attended the Receptive Services Association of America (RSAA) Summit in
New York City, Feb. 10-11. This two-day event featured educational sessions and
multiple networking opportunities with top receptive tour operators companies,
and provided attendees with the opportunity to build relationships with others
in the industry.
Virtuoso Agencies Visit In
partnership with Park Hyatt Washington and United Airlines Mexico, Destination
DC hosted a FAM trip for the Virtuoso Agencies from Mexico City Feb. 5-7. OYA
Restaurant and Lounge hosted a fantastic dinner and OnBoard Tours provided the
city tour for the agents.

House. Pitch is also celebrating the success of his most recent book, “They
Have Killed Papa Dead!: The Road to Ford's Theatre, Abraham Lincoln's Murder,
and the Rage for Vengeance.”

Travel Association Merge Foundations Destination Marketing Association
International and U.S. Travel Association have joined the resources of their
foundations to create a stronger organization better capable of serving the interests
of destination marketing professionals and highlighting the impact of travel around
the world. The consolidated entity, to be known as the Destination & Travel Foundation will bolster the destination marketing
profession and travel industry by supporting activities through research, education,
visioning and travel industry partnerships.
