DC teamed up with the National Cherry Blossom Festival and Hisaoka PR to launch
the Cherry Picks restaurant promotion to generate buzz for the festival and for
DC’s dining scene. The promotion allows DC restaurants to display their
ingenuity by creating cherry-inspired or cherry-flavored dishes to feature during
the festival. The launch event, hosted by Asia Nine, showcased several Cherry
Picks participating restaurants, and opened the doors for positive press coverage in the future.
