Cherry Picks Launch Event
On March 25, Destination DC teamed up with the National Cherry Blossom Festival and Hisaoka PR to launch the Cherry Picks restaurant promotion to generate buzz for the festival and for DC’s dining scene. The promotion allows DC restaurants to display their ingenuity by creating cherry-inspired or cherry-flavored dishes to feature during the festival. The launch event, hosted by Asia Nine, showcased several Cherry Picks participating restaurants, and opened the doors for positive press coverage in the future.

ASAE Leadership & Communication Course
Destination DC’s Tiffany Chester was a panel discussion leader for the American Society for Association Executives (ASAE)’s Leadership and Communication training course on March 11. The subject of the course, which attracted more than 50 participants and association planners, was "Working the DC Market," and topics included communication and leadership styles.

Access DC: New York
Destination DC hosted two power lunches for nearly 40 customers at NY hot spots to give customers and potential customers information about DC's newest power spots, attractions, hip new hotels and vibrant neighborhoods.  During the March 9-11 trip the sales team also made sales calls and brought back several leads.
