Pumpkinfest
Twenty-five planners and their families joined Destination
DC and our hospitality partners at Didier Farm's Pumpkinfest in the Chicago suburb
of Lincolnshire on Oct. 4. Planners enjoyed a picnic-style lunch, followed by
a tractor-drawn hayride through scarecrow alley to the pumpkin patch, then spent
to rest of the afternoon enjoying activities on the farm. The event was the perfect
opportunity to showcase DC's family-friendly side. Sponsors: JW Marriott
Washington DC; The Donovan House, A Thompson Hotel
National
Panellenic Conference Destination DC Convention Manager Sharmane Fernandez
attended the National Panhellenic Conference, Oct. 8-11, in Tampa Bay. Nearly
36 sororities’ executive directors and meeting planners attended the three-day
event, providing an excellent opportunity for Fernandez to network and showcase
Washington, DC. Sponsors: Sheraton National
